Hi! My name is Finnley Halley-Wheeler and I’m an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor.
An Evidence Based Birth® Instructor is a birth professional specially trained in how to help families get evidence based care. I am one of around 150 Evidence Based Birth® Instructors around the world! I’m proud to be a part of this organization because its values and mission align with my own.
In my early years as a doula, I stumbled on Evidence Based Birth® while searching for up-to-date statistics on the support doulas provide. At the time, a lot of doulas were using outdated numbers to represent our profession and I wanted to set myself apart by providing the most accurate information available. I’ve been a fan of EBB since!
In 2019, I began looking for a way to give my clients even better access to evidence-based care. It became obvious to me that my role as a doula was only getting me so far. I needed the tools to impact change on a systemic level. Evidence Based Birth® has equipped me with those tools.

In tabletop gaming, such as Dungeons and Dragons, the person running the game is called a Game or Dungeon Master. The Dungeon Master's job is to walk their party through the world, setting up the parameters for the adventure. The DM helps players design their characters, but isn't the arbiter of anyone's decisions. I absolutely love being the DM.
In childbirth education, I like to think of myself as a Class Master. I will help you design a curriculum that fits your needs and interests. I'll be a guide on your adventure, but won't tell you what to do. And most importantly, I'll celebrate your successes right alongside you.
