Hi! My name is Finnley Halley-Wheeler and I’m a Trained Birthing From Within Childbirth Educator.
A Birthing From Within Trained Childbirth Educator is a professional that helps parents “prepare for birth and parenting with resilience and self-compassion, bringing their non-judgmental approach to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.” I am one of around 100 professionals in the country trained in this unique and mindful approach to childbirth education.
In 2012 I read Pam England’s visionary book, “Birthing From Within”. I was amazed to discover that the preparation I had done for my second birth was very much in alignment with this work. I attribute the prenatal groundwork I had laid as the primary reason that birth was so incredibly satisfying. It wasn’t about the outcome; it was about the journey I took and how I felt coming out the other side.
I joined Birthing From Within shortly thereafter and have been using the practices with my clients and in my personal life since. Birthing From Within changed my life and I love connecting other parents to this rich work.

In tabletop gaming, such as Dungeons and Dragons, the person running the game is called a Game or Dungeon Master. The Dungeon Master's job is to walk their party through the world, setting up the parameters for the adventure. The DM helps players design their characters, but isn't the arbiter of anyone's decisions. I absolutely love being the DM.
In childbirth education, I like to think of myself as a Class Master. I will help you design a curriculum that fits your needs and interests. I'll be a guide on your adventure, but won't tell you what to do. And most importantly, I'll celebrate your successes right alongside you.
